Maeve is a publican’s daughter from Donegal with many years experience in the hotel and restaurant industry. They started their food business in North Kerry in 2001 before returning to Peter’s native Kilkenny in 2003, Foodworks originally opened on Gas House Lane in 2007 moving to Parliament Street in 2012. Foodworks, a former bank in the town centre of Kilkenny’s Medieval Mile, close to major attractions. A high ceiling, airy space with a bright fresh look which matches the style of cooking. Unfussy dishes using quality local produce, including our own home reared, free range pork and vegetables form the experienced chef owner’s farm. Foodworks aim to offer our costumes a relaxed and casual dining experience with quality the key to everything we do. sourcing our produce locally with Hereford beef, fresh fish and seafood from Duncannon. In addition we have an extensive wine list and a wide selection of spirits.
